Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
A short video where I discuss the history of the EGPAF logo.
For eight years I had the deeply rewarding opportunity to lead the design team and management of the visual brand at Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF).
The design team created materials for all teams at EGPAF including (but never limited to!) technical and policy documents, digital campaigns, donor proposal graphics, donor outreach materials, and event materials, all with the goal of supporting healthcare projects and creating awareness about pediatric HIV.
EGPAF Visual Style Guide
As the Design and Brand Manager at EGPAF, I was responsible for the organizational visual creative direction. In 2024, I collaborated closely with our in-house graphic designer, Jen Fetzer, to create the first-of-its-kind, visual style guide at EGPAF. I worked with senior leadership to determine topic areas of focus for the year and my team created custom, curated assets for reach of those topic areas to better ensure alignment across our work for many countries and projects. Below are templates and in-use examples of two of the ten topic areas.
After developing the style guide, we worked to create templates for our commonly requested products to streamline the design team workflow and ensure additional consistency. The style guide has enhanced our work, demonstrated the value of design strategy, and clarified our organizational creative direction. We plan to update the style guide annually to ensure that it continues to closely mirror organizational strategic priorities.

Storytelling Illustrations
In my time at EGPAF, we had an amazing storytelling team that shared human-centered stories about EGPAF’s work on our website and across our communications channels. In most instances, we had beautiful photographs to accompany our stories, but occasionally we were unable to source high-quality photos or we wanted to protect the privacy of the people portrayed in the stories. In those cases, I created illustrations in a minimalist style to accompany the stories.
The illustrations at EGPAF were always developed from our in-house photography to make certain that they’re accurately and respectfully representing the populations we work with.
Below is an example from Uganda as part of the story, “Love Restores Teen’s Health”, that was shared on our website in early 2024. The illustrations are meant to add visual interest and mirror the narrative of the story, keeping readers engaged as they scroll.

Don’t Wait,Eliminate Campaign
In summer 2024, in close collaboration with the digital and public policy teams at EGPAF, I developed custom illustrations and shareable graphics to promote the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV as part of the “Don’t Wait, Eliminate” campaign. The campaign was designed to be impactful and easily shareable, representative of various populations impacted by vertical transmission and what effective health systems and policy investments can mean for different people. The campaign generated over 275,000 impressions.

Publications
A large part of the design team’s work involved creating technical publications. Below is an example of one of my favorite products — a story book featuring photos and interviews from one of our projects in India. To see more EGPAF publications, click here and to see the full PDF click here.
